Welcome to Lou Beckerman’s website
I would like to introduce you to my friend Lou Beckerman. Lou is a truly multi-talented soul. At the heart of ‘Renaissance Woman’, as she is often called, is her love of music and her joy in using it to enhance everyone’s life. For Lou, singing is like breathing; an essential part of life.
So what does Lou do? The list is long: singer/songwriter - concert performer - sound and song therapist - voice facilitator - workshop leader - healer - nurse - artist. However, for me Lou is even more than all of these individual
parts; she is inspirational.
Throughout the pages on this site you too will be inspired. However, if you cannot find what you are looking for,
contact Lou - she will love to hear from you.
Lou is a ‘natural voice’ teacher who can guide us all to find the healing, spiritual and transformational potential of our own sacred sound; our “authentic voice”.
To find out more, explore the Music as Medicine, Sound & Song Therapy and
Voice Workshop pages. You can even read about the research she did in the USA for her Churchill Fellowship or watch a film of her work.
Lou’s music and teaching is available to everyone. You could look at the Hospital,
Hospice and Children pages. Or look at upcoming
Events for concerts and other performances. You can listen to excerpts from one of Lou’s CDs of which one reviewer said “I was transported to a place of love and peace, an effect not achieved by any other CD I have reviewed”.
Finally I would encourage you to look through her Art
Gallery. Here you will find stunning paintings and designs used by Friends of the Earth, Oxfam and other organisations including W H Smith.
I hope you enjoy reading about and listening to my friend Lou.
Thank you.
