Cancer Support Groups:


I have enjoyed facilitating projects for women from the Brighton Breast Cancer Support Group over three successive years, exploring voice for well-being and confidence. Each year the project has culminated in the recording of a CD: ‘I’m Gonna Lift my Sister Up’ in 2006, ‘Even Small Stars Shine’ in 2007 and ‘Together We Are Strong’ in 2008-9.

Some of these courageous women had never really sung out while others gained more experience with each successive song project. From tentative beginnings voices were movingly reclaimed. Participants enjoyed singing, chanting and sounding in this wonderfully supportive and encouraging group. `Small Stars'?...well, a vast galaxy really ... and such fabulous fun.
